Pete Davidson is focusing on his mental health after checking into a wellness facility.

Pete Davidson has entered a wellness facility for mental health treatment.

The 30-year-old comedian is taking time to concentrate on his health, People confirmed on Wednesday. Mental health has "always been a priority" for the Saturday Night Live alum, a source told the outlet.

Davidson hasn't been shy about sharing his sobriety journey and history dealing with borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. He's joked about his struggles over the years, including during his recent string of more than 200 live stand-up comedy shows and several other projects. The rehab check-in comes about a month after he split from Madelyn Cline, whom he dated for 10 months.

The source told the publication that Davidson's friends and family are very proud that he has chosen to focus on his sobriety and continues to take care of himself.

ET has reached out to Davidson's representative for comment.

Back in June 2023, ET learned Davidson was in rehab and being treated for mental health issues. He had reportedly been to rehab twice before.

"Pete Davidson has been in rehab and is being treated for mental health issues," a source told ET at the time. "He can be manic and wasn't sleeping well or taking good care of himself, so he decided to go to get help, take a break, and get back on track. Pete is focusing on himself."

The following month, Davidson was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service and 12 hours of traffic school to keep him from serving any jail time for his involvement in a car accident in March 2023. Davidson had been charged with misdemeanor reckless driving after crashing his car into a Beverly Hills home. His now ex-girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, was also involved.

"We believe that Mr. Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home," the L.A. County District Attorney's Office told ET in a statement at the time. "Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision."

In March, a source told ET that Davidson was in a positive mental space and taking charge of his professional trajectory.

"Pete is in a good mental place and taking control of things," the source said, shortly after Davidson decided to end his comedy series, Bupkis, despite the show being renewed for a second season. "He's been doing great on his film with Eddie Murphy and has been incredibly professional. He wants to focus on stand-up and film now."

Davidson has often been candid about his drug use and mental health struggles in his comedy.

He addressed his last stint in rehab during a comedy show in September with John Mulaney and Jon Stewart in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

"I am fresh out of rehab, everyone," he told the crowd at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's Ettes Arena. "I got that post-rehab glow. Seventh time's the charm!"

Davidson revealed he took ketamine, a dissociative drug used medically as an anesthetic, daily for four years. "It was magical," said Davidson, who has previously opened up about his regrets taking ketamine

In an interview with Variety in August 2018, Davidson said he'd "been in and out of mental health facilities" since he was 9 years old. That same year, he sparked an NYPD wellness check after talking of suicide online.

"I got diagnosed with BPD a few years ago, and I was always just so confused all the time, and just thought something was wrong, and didn't know how to deal with it," he explained in a 2021 conversation with Glenn Close for the Variety series Actors on Actors. "Then, when somebody finally tells you, the weight of the world feels lifted off your shoulders. You feel so much better."
