In a humorous Instagram video, Dancing With the Stars alums Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd shared the exciting news that they are expecting their third child.
The couple -- who already share two sons, Shai 7, and Rio, 7 months -- couldn't contain their joy in the special announcement.
The video captures the moment Peta FaceTimes Maksim to share the news, beginning with her playfully mentioning that she's not feeling well. As Peta multitasks by preparing bottles of formula and munching on a pickle, she drops hints about needing a bigger house with another bedroom.
Maksim, initially oblivious to the big reveal, finally catches on when Peta pulls out a pregnancy test, prompting his delighted exclamation, "Babe stop, no way, you’re pregnant?" The couple then celebrates the joyful moment, with Maksim admitting he's "tearing up."
The Instagram caption reads, "We Are Having A Baby 🎉🙈🙏🏻 Yes, we know…we just had a baby… haha! This was very unexpected at (4 months postpartum with Rio) but we are sooooo happy and so ready to be a family of 5 soon!"
Peta humorously shared of breaking the news to Maksim, "It took one hour for me to get the courage to call him 😂 and when he wasn’t catching on, we all couldn’t stop laughing in the kitchen. I had the 'I’m so sick story,' the pickle, and 2 bottles HAHA! Oh Maks 🥴"
She also opened up about their journey, acknowledging the challenges they faced with miscarriages and IVF, making this pregnancy even more special.
"After everything we’ve been through with miscarriages and IVF, we’re beyond blessed and know we are uber lucky for this miracle to happen to us," she shared.
Peta, 37, and Maksim, 44, welcomed their first son, Shai, in January 2017 before tying the knot in July 2017. Rio was born June of last year.
