The 'Succession' star previously poked fun at 'The Last of Us' actor at the Golden Globes.
Pedro Pascal is blaming his injury on Kieran Culkin. While presenting the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at Monday's 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, The Last of Us star called attention to his injury, which he's been fashionably coordinating in an arm sling throughout awards season.
"A lot of people have been asking about my arm. It's actually my shoulder," Pascal revealed. "I think tonight is the perfect time to tell everyone that Kieran Culkin beat the s**t out of me."
The cameras cut to the Succession star, who initially looked stone-faced at the accusation, before breaking into a laugh alongside Pascal himself.
Pascal's joking dig came after he and Culkin competed in the same category at the 2024 Golden Globes. That time, Culkin came out ahead, quipping in his acceptance speech, "Suck it, Pedro."
ET spoke to Culkin after his Golden Globes win, and he revealed of Pascal, "I sent him a text this morning. I was like, 'Enjoy stealing my award today'... I hope he still likes me. I haven't talked to him since the 'suck it' moment, so I hope we're cool."
While Culkin's Succession co-star, Matthew Macfadyen, won in the category Pascal presented, Pascal and Culkin will face off once again in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Jeff Bridges (The Old Man), Brian Cox (Succession), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) and Jeremy Strong (Succession) round out the nominees.
Pascal was previously nominated this year at the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category for his turn hosting Saturday Night Live, and Outstanding Narrator for his work on Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World.
Meanwhile, Pascal's The Last of Us co-star, Bella Ramsey, is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She'll face off against Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters), Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets), Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale), Keri Russell (The Diplomat) and Sarah Snook (Succession) for the award.
The show itself is also up for Outstanding Drama Series.
On Sunday night, Pascal opted for a beige look at the 29th Critics Choice Awards as he perfectly matched his sling to the rest of his smart ensemble. The Mandalorian actor shared a positive health update with ET, saying, "I'm feeling better!"
Pascal hasn't explained in detail what happened that led to him needing an arm sling. He debuted the unexpected sling at the Golden Globes, where he rocked a simple, chic black sling that went perfectly with his Golden Globes look as well.
The actor told People at the time simply that he "fell."
Then, on Friday, Pascal wore an oversized blue T-shirt and ditched his sling for red carpet photos at the AFI Awards Luncheon. He was later photographed inside the event with the medical accessory back on.
The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, originally set to take place last September, was postponed due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. Hosted by Anthony Anderson at L.A. Live's Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the ceremony will air live Monday, Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. PT, 8 p.m. ET on Fox, and will be streamed Tuesday, Jan. 16 on Hulu.
