Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry Revisit Sardinia 8 Years After His Nude Paddleboarding

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom return to Sardinia nearly a decade after the 'Lord of the Rings' actor's infamous nude paddleboarding.

Katy Perry and her longtime love, Orlando Bloom, were spotted vacationing in Sardinia, Italy, the site of the actor's infamous nude paddleboarding visit nearly 10 years ago.

The pair's holiday is notedly different from when they previously made the trip as a couple in 2016; not only are Perry, 39, and Bloom, 47, now parents to their 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, but this time around the To the Edge star kept his boardshorts on.

Bloom and Perry got engaged in 2019 and welcomed their first child together in 2020. Bloom also shares Flynn, 13, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr

The couple were photographed with their daughter enjoying a dip in the sea during a beach day in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, on Saturday. The former American Idol judge showed off her figure in a brown bikini while Bloom kept it family-friendly in a pair of blue boardshorts that he had hiked up along with a white rash guard shirt.

According to The Daily Mail, Perry and Bloom spent most of their time at the beach watching Daisy Doe splash around and playing with the toddler in the water.

The last time the couple were on this exact beach, Bloom made headlines for going completely nude while paddleboarding with Perry. The "Rise" singer, on the other hand, opted to keep her bikini on and seemingly did zero paddling as she sipped a local beer.

The then 39-year-old actor didn't spend the whole day in the buff and sported a more modest look -- a swimsuit -- when he returned to shore.

In 2017, Perry commented on the infamous pics of Bloom in the nude, revealing that he asked her to follow suit.

"He asked me if I wanted to be [naked] and I was just like, it's one of those things where I was like, 'Oh nah,'" Perry said on KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O show. "Just not in the mood."

She added, "I saved it for the boat!"

The couple's recent vacation to Italy comes as Perry is focused on making a music comeback -- and she isn't shy to do so in style.

In honor of Independence Day and in promotion of her upcoming single, "Woman's World," Perry took to Instagram on Thursday to share an all-American look in which she stunned in red, white and blue swimsuit -- and not much else.

"BB UR A FIREWORK 🎆," the singer wrote, adding, "and speaking of work, WOMAN'S WORLD IS GOING TO WORK IN ONE WEEK HAPPY 4TH 🇺🇸."

In the photo, Perry wears a rhinestone American flag bikini while striking a Rosie the Riveter pose. Her sparkly two-piece bathing suit features a revealing star-shaped top with bedazzled red-and-white stripes on one side and a blue background with white stars on the other. The swimsuit connects with white rhinestone-encrusted straps that crisscross at the midriff before plunging into denim shorts.

Perry also rocks a bold red lip, a red polka-dot bandana and dangling crystal earrings.

"Woman's World" releases July 11, with its music video debuting the following day. It will be the new single from Perry's forthcoming seventh studio album, which will mark her first album since 2020's Smile. Perry recently unveiled the single's skimpy cover art, which was shot by acclaimed British photographer Jack Bridgland.

At Paris Fashion Week, Perry also made a style statement with her "Woman's World" lyrics. She turned heads at the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024/25 show in a red Balenciaga gown with a 100-yard train that featured lyrics from her new single.

It was quite the tease, the first of which came on June 17 when she posted a TikTok video announcing the new single's release date. The video included a preview of the new single, which she filmed while on the set of the track's music video.

Since May, fans have been salivating at the idea of an upcoming Perry project, after she rebranded her social media channels and her own website with futuristic "KP" initials glossed in chrome over an orange background.

In that same month, Perry signed off as a judge on American Idol after appearing on the panel for eight seasons. "Well, everybody's sad," she told ET at the time. "I'm like, it's not like I'm dying! I'm just going to see you on tour."
