Mama O was ready to say yes to the dress!
Oprah Winfrey is ready to say yes to the dress!
Over the weekend, "Mom O" took one of the graduates from her Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa wedding dress shopping along with a few other former students.
"I’ve known these girls since they were 12 and 13 coming to my school. Graduating from college. Grad school. Now our first wedding," Oprah captioned a photo of the ladies posing with the bride-to-be, who is holding up a wedding dress. "Looking for the perfect dress. #biglifemoment."
The future bride, who goes by Glori R on Instagram, also shared a funny photo of Winfrey's disapproval of one of the gowns. She wrote over the image: "Mum O like, 'Nooooo, that can't be it, Glori.'"
The ladies clearly had a good time, with Mpumi Nobiva even trying on dresses with her friends and Winfrey. "Practicing for when my turn comes? ?... lol helping pick a dress was SO fun. Now... ?we wait for the groom to arrive in about ... 10 years - at least - I hope (or more) #monatempolaye," she said of a video of herself in a wedding gown.
"OK, now go find a groom," Nobiva captioned another image.
According to one report, Winfrey shut down Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills for the shopping trip, again showing just how much she cares for these girls. She also took the ladies for a meal at Spago.
Thando Dlomo, a digital associate at ET Live, is also a graduate of Winfrey's school and opened up to ET about what it's like being so close with the beloved 65-year-old Queen of Talk.
"I dreamt a lot of things. I couldn't imagine what they looked like, but in my dreams, I have seen this room before," she told ET's Kevin Frazier. "Literally, [Oprah] turned my whole life around."
