Olivia Munn and John Mulaney Are Married

Comedian John Mulaney and actress Olivia Munn wed in a simple, intimate ceremony in New York over the weekend, ET has learned.

Wedding bells are chiming for John Mulaney and Olivia Munn!

ET has learned that the couple got married this past weekend at a friend's home in New York with only their 2-year-old son, Malcolm, and a witness in attendance. Actor Sam Waterston was their wedding officiant and Waterston's wife was the only witness.

A source also tells ET, "Olivia and John got engaged in the fall of 2023 and wanted to keep it private. He proposed using an antique ring. Their wedding was exactly what they wanted with the two of them and their son."

Mulaney, 41, and Munn, 44, were first romantically linked in May 2021, and they shared the news that they were expecting their first baby together the following September.

The couple welcomed son Malcolm in November 2021, and have been doting parents in the years since they brought home their bundle of joy.

Mulaney candidly spoke about his son fulfilling a part of his life he didn't realize was empty and the lessons he and Munn share with Malcolm while chatting with David Letterman on his Netflix show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.

"I went, 'Oh, there you are.' Like, 'You're that thing I couldn't find. I was looking in not good places, and then, oh, there you are,'" Mulaney explained.

ET spoke with Munn while she was expecting back in 2021, where she shared that she was excited to become a mom and welcome a baby into the world alongside her partner.

"I'm just excited about meeting whoever it is, and bringing a little person into this world," Munn said at the time.

This has been a particularly momentous year for the couple, after Munn revealed in March that she privately battled breast cancer and that she underwent a double mastectomy to combat an aggressive form of cancer doctors discovered.

In a sit-down with Vogue, in May, the actress revealed that she and Mulaney decided to freeze her eggs after she received her shocking cancer diagnosis and that she decided to move forward with the procedures to remove her ovaries, uterus and fallopian tubes.

"After my diagnosis, we decided to try one more round of egg retrievals and hoped it was a good month. John and I talked about it a lot and we don't feel like we're done growing our family, but didn't know if I would have to do chemotherapy or radiation," she told the outlet, explaining their decision to potentially add to their family via surrogate in the future.

Luckily for the comedian and the actress, their procedure resulted in two viable embryos, a relief for the parents who hope to expand their family. For Munn, however, she said the good news after the surgery was twofold as it also gave her peace of mind in her cancer treatment journey.

"John and I just started crying," she told Vogue of finding out the procedure retrieved more than one embryo. "It was just so exciting because not only did we get it in one retrieval, but it also meant that I didn't have to keep putting myself at risk. It was just amazing."
