The 'Total Bellas' star opened up to ET about her split from Cena, whom she says is 'the love of my life.'
Nikki Bella is holding out hope for a reconciliation with her former fiancé, John Cena.
One month after Bella and Cena announced that they had called off their engagement, the WWE diva told ET's Leanne Aguilera that she's "doing good," but admits there are "good days and bad days" in her life without Cena.
"John is such an amazing man. He really is the love of my life," Bella shared with ET at NBCUniversal's upfront presentation in New York City on Monday. "I truly hope one day that we can work it out and get back together. I think there is hope."
According to the 34-year-old wrestler and reality TV star, she has one clear wish for her and her former flame: "I just want us both to live the rest of our lives happy."
"Hopefully that's together, maybe it's not. Right now I'm just focusing on me," she added. "I think I kind of lost me and now I want to find [myself]."
Last month, ET's Carly Steel caught up with Cena during CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where the 41-year-old actor and WWE star candidly addressed their split.
"It sucks," Cena said. "There's no other way to say [it]. "I love Nicole with all my heart, and that's that."
Bella couldn't help but agree with Cena's remarks, telling ET, "Yeah. It does. I'm not gonna lie. It's like the perfect words for it. I want to make it sound nicer, pretty, but it does suck."
The wrestler also revealed that she and Cena are still on speaking terms, despite their high-profile breakup.
"We still talk. We go on and off, but yeah, right now we're talking," she shared. "It's nicer when you're with someone who is understanding because you can keep a really great relationship. So that's really nice."
Bella was joined by her sister, Brie Bella, her co-star on the E! reality series Total Bellas, and they hinted that this upcoming season would give viewers an inside glimpse at how her relationship with Cena began to fall apart.
"You'll see the Nicole and John situation just kind of unravel and you'll see how hard wedding planning can be and distance between them," Brie shared.
"It's just crazy where it can take you when you're faced with certain issues," Nikki added. "It's going to be really hard for me to relive, but I think it's important to put that stuff out there for people in the world because it makes them feel like they're not alone."
Total Bellas returns Sunday, May 20 on E!
While his former fiancée was in New York for upfronts, Cena was also in the Big Apple sitting down for the last hour of the Today show on Monday, where he got very candid about their split.
"It is very difficult -- I had my heart broken out of nowhere, or for me, it was out of nowhere," he told Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford. "And anyone who has experienced that knows that it comes with a series of bad feelings."
However, Cena echoed his ex's sentiments about the possibility of rekindling their romance, sharing, "I still love Nicole, I still would love to marry Nicole, I still would love to have a family with Nicole."
"I don't want anybody else," Cena said. "I love Nicole. I'm really trying to support her in her trying to find whatever it is she wants that made this fall apart in the first place, and in doing so, I'm also just trying to live. But I don't have any other hopes, other than one day that we can work it out."
