'Jersey Shore: Family Reunion' will air on MTV in 2018.
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is bringing back all our favorite guidos and guidettes -- except for Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola.
The reality star is the only original cast member who won't be returning for the MTV revival, which is set to air in 2018 -- without any explanation.
Lucky for fans, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi dished all about the upcoming revival on her podcast, It's Happening With Snooki & Joey, revealing that while she couldn't speak to Giancola's specific reasons for not returning, she guesses her former roommate just "doesn't want to jump back into drama" with her ex, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.
"Everyone's asking why Sammi's not doing it. You have to ask her that -- I'm not gonna speak for her. But Sammi is just in such a happy place that I feel like she doesn't want to jump back into that drama if it does happen," Snooki said. "And being that there was a lot of Ron and Sam drama when we did film, it was just really hard on both of them. So I just think she doesn't want that anymore."
Though Ortiz-Magro was missing from the group's road trip reunion, he will be returning for the revival, alongside Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Snooki.
"At the same time, we're just like, it's gonna be different. We're all begging her to come back on the show. It's really up to her. Everyone pray that Sammi comes back, because I feel like she might change her mind," Snooki shared on the podcast, adding: "Sam, if you're listening, come to the show. Like, stop being -- stop it. Stop it right now before I spank you."
