The two first sparked romance rumors in 2017 when they walked the Met Gala red carpet together.
For Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, the Met Gala is more than just an annual fashion affair; it's the beginning of their love story.
The two first sparked romance rumors in 2017 after they posed together on the Metropolitan Museum of Art's red carpet. Now, two years later, they are husband and wife and getting ready to return to where they had their first major moment.
"I love the Met Gala, it's always a fun night," Jonas recently told ET about attending the 2019 Met Gala, also calling it a "full circle" moment for him and his wife.
Before the biggest fashion event of the year, take a look back at Jonas and Chopra's connection to the Met Gala.
Met Gala 2017
After months of secretly texting and going on dates, Chopra and Jonas attended the fabulous fundraiser together due to the fact that they both wore Ralph Lauren ensembles and were invited by the designer. Chopra strut down the carpet in a beige custom-made trench coat evening dress with a massive train. Jonas looped dapper in a black-and-white art deco jacquard tuxedo jacket with black tuxedo pants and patent leather slippers.
While they made a perfect pair, at the time they reportedly said that they were just friends.
Romance Rumors
After their Met Gala moment, people could not stop wondering if the two were more than friends. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the Quantico star was asked whether there were "any flirtatious vibes" with Jonas at the party.
"We didn't have time yet," she said about having the opportunity to get to know Jonas on a more personal level. "Maybe the next time we meet?"
Met Gala 2018
By the following year, chances of the two dating seemed unlikely as they had not been seen together. The two, however, did attend the Met Ball but were not photographed or spotted being flirtatious at the party.
Jonas looked sharp in a black Dolce & Gabbana suit, while Chopra was a vision in a burgundy velvet gown with gold beaded hood by Ralph Lauren.
Falling in Love and Getting Engaged
Soon after, Chopra and Jonas were spotted out and about together several times during Memorial Day weekend. As the months went by, they would flirt on Instagram and then began meeting each other's family by June 2018.
The two moved quickly and rumors of an engagement began encircling in late July. It wasn't until mid-August that they confirmed their engagement with the world, sharing a photo from their engagement photo shoot.
Wedding Day
On Dec. 1, the lovebirds tied the knot at Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. First came a Christian wedding for the couple officiated by Jonas' father, for which Chopra wore a stunning gown by Ralph Lauren.
They then had a traditional Indian wedding ceremony the following day. For her Hindu ceremony, Chopra looked beautiful in a bright red two-piece lehenga by noted designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
Met Gala 2019
This year, the lovebirds serve as co-chairs -- and you can expect them to turn heads when they arrive at the event.
"It's pretty cool. I hope I get a clipboard with all the names to make sure everybody's on the list," Jonas joked to ET last week. "I don't actually know what my responsibilities are, but I'm really thrilled they asked us to do that."
While he wouldn't tease their looks, Jonas did reveal that their outfits are "coming together." "To be honest, I'm very excited, I love the Met Gala, it's always a fun night, but Priyanka will set the tone, and I'm just going to be there to support her," he shared. "So I plan to keep it simple and let her shine."
