Will Taylor Swift be the maid of honor?
Taylor Swift better start thinking of bridesmaid dresses again.
The 26-year-old singer's childhood best friend, Abigail Anderson, is officially engaged. The Nashville native announced the big news on Tuesday by sharing a romantic Instagram snap of herself kissing her fiance, Matt Lucier, with her shiny new ring on prominent display.
"Tonight I answered the easiest question I've ever been asked. Without any doubt and without fear -- I am so excited for this next chapter in our lives," Anderson wrote. "Thank you to my family & all of my friends that went the extra mile to make sure this night was everything I've ever imagined. #HePutARingOnIt."
Anderson later showed off her ring on Snapchat, sharing a close-up pic of her wearing her brand new engagement bling.
"A MILLION TIMES, YES," she wrote, adding a ring emoji.
Lucier also Instagrammed a cute snap of the two posing by a lake, writing, "@abigail_lauren lucier... Has a nice ring to it... Boom! pun of the day goes to me #dreamgirl."
The couple has been dating for more than three years. They celebrated their latest anniversary last Christmas, when Anderson called Lucier her "whole heart."
Swift and Anderson have been friends since high school. The "Shake It Off" singer memorably mentioned her BFF in her 2009 hit, "Fifteen," recalling the start of their friendship and Abigail's apparent broken heart.
"You sit in class next to a redhead named Abigail/ And soon enough you're best friends," Swift sings. "Abigail gave everything she had to a boy who changed his mind/ We both cried."
Though it looks like Anderson got her happy ever after eventually!

Last week, Anderson and Lucier were with Swift and the singer's new beau, Tom Hiddleston, in Nashville, where they all caught Selena Gomez's concert. Lucier posted video of the four dancing together before eventually deleting it, though not before fans quickly shared it.
