The country singer opened up about her miscarriage and the new music it inspired.
On Monday, Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott opened up about a personal tragedy on Good Morning America.
The 30-year-old singer, who is one-third of Lady A, revealed that 2015 was a tough year for her after she suffered a miscarriage.
"Last fall, I went through a miscarriage," the singer revealed. She then broke down into tears and grabbed some tissues before continuing, saying, "Goodness gracious."

"This is something that is still not talked about very often," she continued. "I also feel like there's this pressure that you're just supposed to be able to snap your fingers and continue to walk through life like it never happened."
Scott revealed that she turned to music during the trying time and as a result, the first single off her new solo album, "Thy Will" was born. The singer's solo debut, titled Love Remains, is a joint effort between Scott and her family and will be released on July 29 by Hillary Scott & The Scott Family.

"I wrote this song in the middle of experiencing everything that comes with a miscarriage, so it was my most raw place that I could have ever been when this song poured out of me," she explained.
Through the songwriting process, Scott learned to cherish the moments with her husband, Chris Tyrell, and their 2-year-old daughter, Eisele Kay, even more.
"I'm a different mom to her now," she admitted. "I hug her a lot tighter."
Scott also admitted that she is now ready to get back into the swing of things with her band and create new music. Her Lady A bandmate, Charles Kelley, has also been pursuing a solo career during the group's hiatus.
"After going through everything that I've gone through in the past year, but also just the process of making this record, I know that I'm coming back into the mindset of Lady Antebellum," she said.

After opening up to her fans, Scott thanked everyone for all their support on Instagram on Monday afternoon.
"Today has been a mix of emotions, and I've chosen to let myself just soak them all in. The outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and complete strangers leaves me absolutely overwhelmed...yet I've been wading through waves of sadness as the weight of what happened to our family hits again," she wrote.
"I know there are so many people out there dealing with the same feelings and I feel humbled that so many of you shared those feelings with me today. May God bless you all. #thywill," she added.
