Plus, why there will be no sequel to the 1985 classic.
In Back to the Future, Mary McFly (Michael J. Fox) time travels 30 years into the past in Doc Brown’s (Christopher Lloyd) infamous DeLeorean. If he had time travelled 30 years into the future, it would be today, June 3*.
Director Robert Zemeckis has gone on record saying there will be no remake, reboot or reimagining of the series: "That can’t happen until both Bob [Gale, co-writer] and I are dead." But if they did do another installment, here’s what the cast would look like.
(*July 3 is three decades after the movie was first released in 1985, but the date Marty jumps to and from in the movie is actually October 21. Semantics.)
WATCH: Here are six movie recastings that are way too obvious to ignore
Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly
Fox later starred on Spin City, voiced Chance in Homeward Bound and guest starred on The Good Wife. He also started The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
Christopher Lloyd as Dr. Emmett Brown
Lloyd reprised his role as Doc Brown in Seth MacFarlane's A Million Ways to Die in the West in 2014 and appeared in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and Piranha 3DD.
Lea Thompson as Lorraine Baines
Thompson got her own show, Caroline in the City, in the '90s, then starred in Hallmark's nine Jane Doe movies. Recently, she's been seen on ABC Family's Switched at Birth.
Crispin Glover as George McFly
Glover has made weird roles his bread and butter, like Thin Man in the Charlie's Angels reboot and The Knave of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. He was also in Hot Tub Time Machine.

Thomas F. Wilson as Biff Tannen
Wilson has mostly turned to voice work, like in SpongeBob SquarePants and DreamWorks Dragons. Melissa McCarthy looked for his "little tiny girl balls" in 2013's The Heat.
Claudia Wells as Jennifer Parker
Wells was recast in the sequel -- Elisabeth Shue played Jennifer in Back to the Future 2 and 3 -- but still pimps out her role in the original on her website and Twitter.
Billy Zane as Match
Zane played one of Biff's cronies long before Twin Peaks and Titanic made him into an icon. Next up, he will reprise his role -- as himself -- in the Zoolander sequel.
Always good to see you, Billy Zane.
