A 17-year-old girl may have been raped at the July 26 show.
More drama for Keith Urban.
The country star's Saturday show in Mansfield, Massachusetts, devolved into a drunken debacle -- resulting in 22 concertgoers being hospitalized, 50 arrested and 46 treated for alcohol-related issues. Now, it appers that a teen may have been raped on the lawn at that same show.
According to a police statement obtained by ET, a concert patron approached officers after becoming concerned about what appeared to be a sexual assault on a 17-year-old female on the lawn of the Xfinity Center. An investigation found that the alleged rape ended when a woman pushed the attacker off of the victim and he fled.
Police say that concerned patrons successfully removed the female victim from the area, assisted in getting her help and were able to reunite her with her friends. Sean Murphy, 18, was arrested "a short time later" and charged with rape. According to police, multiple witnesses captured photos and videos of the incident on their phones.
"Officers conducting the investigation were assisted by patrons that had been concerned and took photos and video of the assault on their cellular phones," the Mansfield Police said in a statement. "Those phones are being processed to recover the digital evidence of the assault."
A report on TMZ states that both Murphy and the victim had consumed alcohol at the event, and that Murphy has pled not guilty to the charge.
"This was a consensual act, not a sexual assault. There are no allegations of force or violence against him. This was a private act that regrettably occurred in a public place," a lawyer for Murphy told TMZ. "The young woman was neither intoxicated nor overcome by drugs at the time."
