'Glee' Holds Private Memorial for Cory Monteith
A rep for 20th Century Fox Television reveals to ET that the cast of Glee held a private memorial for their late co-star Cory Monteith on Thursday.
The rep tells ET that the show's co-creator Ryan Murphy and star Lea Michele "gathered the cast, crew and producers of Glee, along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith."
This follows Monteith's drug-related death on July 13.
Just one month prior to the actor's sudden passing, on and off-screen girlfriend Michele gushed over him in an interview with Marie Claire Mexico, saying, "He is the best person I know, he has made my life so incredible, and I am so thankful for him and not only to have him as a partner but also as a co-worker."
After the memorial, Chris Colfer tweeted:
I'll never forget all the laughs we shared or the faces we made after awkward interview questions.… http://t.co/Rm0kbwVOUd
