Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus are officially back together!

"We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together. We both went into couples therapy, something we haven't done in 22 years of being together, and its brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways," the newly reunited couple tells ET.

Tish also said that marriage can be hard -- especially after 22 years of being in the entertainment industry.

"We've had rough times but we both realized we didn't want to be another statistic and wanted to make it work," she adds.

Speculation on the couple's status began when the cozy photo above was posted on Tish's Instagram on July 21.

Captioned "Date Night," Miley Cyrus' mom uploaded the pic late Saturday night, showing the exes holding each other tight as Tish sports what appears to be a wedding ring on her left hand.

In early June, the couple announced their intention to split, claiming "irreconcilable differences." Billy Ray and Tish previously filed for divorce in 2010, but reconciled months later.

Billy Ray and Tish have three children together (Miley, Braison, and Noah) and raised two from Tish's previous marriage (Brandi and Trace).
