Stars React to George Zimmerman Verdict
Twitter exploded Saturday night, July 13, 2013, with celebrities reacting to the news that George Zimmerman was acquitted in the shooting death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, but it was Beyonce Knowles that brought up the verdict during her concert this weekend.
While performing in Nashville, TN on Saturday, Beyonce, 31, paid tribute to the deceased Martin just 30 minutes after the verdict was reached. "I'd like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon," she told the audience as the lights were dimmed. She then began to sing the chorus of I Will Always Love You before going into Halo, Us magazine reports.
