Seth MacFarlane Will Not Host 2014 Oscars
Calling James Franco -- or Joaquin Phoenix?!!! Seth MacFarlane has announced that he will not be back for another stint as Oscars host. The busy Family Guy creator/Ted director/comedy mogul revealed the news on Twitter today using his trademark wit, saying, "Traumatized critics exhale: I'm unable to do the Oscars again. Tried to make it work schedule-wise, but I need sleep."

In addition to lauding Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron as "two of the most talented producers in the business," the 39-year-old star quipped, "My suggestion for host is Joaquin Phoenix."

While many praised MacFarlane for his smooth and capable hosting abilities during February's 85th Academy Awards, just as many lambasted him for his comedic choices (such as the We Saw Your Boobs! dance number) and politically incorrect jokes that included Rihanna jokes and Abraham Lincoln's assassination.
