Dwayne Johnson Details 'Fun Pain' Surgery
Dwayne Johnson was sidelined recently after he was injured during a wrestling match, and the Fast & Furious/Pain & Gain star tells ET's Nancy O'Dell that it's been nothing but "fun pain" for the rock-solid performer.
"About mid-way through the match I had torn my rectus tendon as well as my adductor tendon off my pelvis, and then I found out that I had three wonderful hernia tears, which I had repaired about three and a half weeks ago," explains Johnson with his trademark grin. "There's also a lot of fun swelling in the 'cash and prizes' area for the first week and a half. Those were sexy times. … It's a lot of fun pain to go through, but everything is good, thank you."
Despite causing him to miss the Fast & Furious junket and premiere in London, Johnson sees the injury as the perfect opportunity to pause while on "the treadmill of life" and spend quality time with his little girl.
