Hilary Duff Gets 'Mean' Tweets About Post-Baby Bod
It's been just over three weeks since Hilary Duff and her husband Mike Comrie welcomed their son, Luca Cruz. Now the Gossip Girl star is opening up about motherhood and the pressure to get into shape after her pregnancy.
"I don't have a project waiting on me that I have to bust my butt to get into shape for so it's more about how I feel," Duff tells Parade.com. The actress said she has always enjoyed working out because it makes her feel more clear-headed and positive and she continued pilates and yoga throughout her pregnancy.

"But then I read comments on my Twitter page about how I'm waddling into pilates and I go, 'wow, that's a really mean thing to say. I just had a baby three weeks ago!'" Duff said. "There is a little bit of pressure but most of it comes from me."
Duff -- who just yesterday released her first family portrait -- reveals that in the early stages of her pregnancy she didn't even recognize her body. "Right when I really started to show, I would look in the mirror and wonder whose body that was! But then about a month later, I just felt really proud that I had a body that could do what it was doing,"

On how she and Comrie chose their baby's name, Duff explained, "We don't have any rhyme or reason about why we chose that name. We had the names Cruz and Luca on our list with some others and decided at the very last minute what it was going to be. There is no good story behind it, which is kind of sad. We just liked the way it sounded together.
Duff said she can already see how parenthood is strengthening her marriage to Comrie, whom she married in August 2010. "It's helped me appreciate Mike's role in his life and that we're doing things with the most love that we can. He's really hands on and I appreciate any little help I can get."

When asked about a baby number two, Duff reveals that she definitely wants this and she doesn't want to wait too long. "Right now, I'm focused on being the best mom I can be and when I start working again, I'll see how I juggle everything. But then again, my sister [Haylie Duff] and I are very close so I want Luca to have someone close [to his age] -- but not too close!"
