Whitney Houston's Cause of Death Revealed
Whitney Houston's cause of death has been revealed.
According to the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner, the pop star died of drowning, and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.

The coroner called the manner of Houston's death an accident, with no trauma or foul play suspected. Toxicology tests revealed that "cocaine and metabolites were identified and were contributory to the death." According to the coroner, "marijuana, alprazolam (Xanax), cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) and diphenhydramine (Benadryl) were identified but did not contribute to the death."

The results were revealed more than a month after her February 11 death at age 48.
