Matt Damon on What Fills His Heart

Unlike many celebrities, Matt Damon keeps his family life away from the media spotlight, and he's explaining how he does it.

In an interview with Parade, Damon discussed his family life and his cherished role as a father.

"The only way I can describe it – it sounds stupid, but – at the end of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, you know how his heart grows, like, five times its size? Everything is full; it's just full all the time."

Damon is father to three daughters: Isabella (5), Gia (3), and Stella (1), and is stepfather to Alexia (13), from his wife Luciana's first marriage.

A committed husband and father, Damon revealed why he is able to maintain a low profile and keep his family away from media attention.

"I've been left alone, even by the paparazzi, because what sells is sex and scandal," Damon concluded. "Absent that, they really don't have much interest in you. I'm still married, still working, still happy."
