Michelle Obama to Guest Star on 'iCarly'
ET has confirmed that Michelle Obama will guest star on "iCarly", Nickelodeon's hit comedy show starring Miranda Cosgrove.
The First Lady will be on the show to promote Joining Forces, a national initiative that mobilizes support for military families. According to an Associated Press report, the episode, which was written especially for her by "iCarly" creator Dan Schneider, involves Obama coming to talk to Carly and her two best friends Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie (Nathan Kress) "in the most positive way possible" when they break some rules and set up a web chat so that Carly can speak to her dad, a colonel serving overseas in the military, on his birthday.
"It's a feel-good initiative," said Nickelodeon president Cyma Zarghami to the Associated Press about the First Lady guest starring on one of Nickelodeon's most popular shows, "and regardless of your political affinity, everybody cares about these families, so it just feels right."
The upcoming "iCarly" episode featuring Michelle Obama will likely appear in January.
