David Letterman 'Crushed' Oprah Didn't Invite Him to Her 'Farewell Spectacular'

David Letterman is feeling the snub from Oprah Winfrey – and apparently, he's not taking it lightly.  With the taping of Oprah's star-studded farewell show featuring a plethora of A-listers like Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Beyoncé, Jamie Foxx, Stevie Wonder, Will Smith, Madonna and even Maria Shriver, the late night host went on a comical rant about not being invited to one of the biggest events on television.

It's no secret, I spent the last 12-15 years kissing up to Oprah," he jokes on "Late Show".

Oprah and Letterman were widely reported to have a long-standing feud after she was the butt of an awkward joke he made when he was the host of the Academy Awards in 1995. They have since buried the hatchet, with Oprah making a highly publicized appearance on "Late Show" in 2005. During the show, cameras rolling, he escorted her hand in hand to the premiere of the Broadway musical "The Color Purple" at the Broadway Theater just across the street, which she produced.

"Well thank you very much Oprah," he deadpans."[I'm] more than upset, crushed. Disappointed and crushed. I want to bask in the glory that is Oprah. Who doesn't?"
