Arnold Schwarzenegger & Maria Shriver Split
Former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Maria Shriver have announced that they are separating after 25 years of marriage, the Los Angeles Times reports.
According to the newspaper, the former first lady moved out of the couple's Brentwood, California mansion a few weeks ago.
The couple gave a statement saying: "This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship. We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives."
Schwarzenegger and Shriver first met in 1977. They wed nine years later.
Last week the actor-turned-politician signed on to star in the new drama 'Cry Macho' to be directed by Brad Furman ('The Lincoln Lawyer').
