The 30-year-old actress was reportedly involved in an altercation with husband Ryan Dorsey.
Naya Rivera has been arrested.
The former Glee star was arrested on Saturday night in Kanawha County, West Virginia, a spokesperson for the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office tells ET. The actress was charged for domestic battery against her husband, Ryan Dorsey.
ET has reached out to Rivera's rep for comment.
According to the spokesperson, Deputy T. Dubiel of the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an address in Chesapeake late on Saturday night for a domestic violence complaint. When he arrived, he spoke with Dorsey, who alleged that Rivera had struck him in the head and face. According to the Sheriff's Office, the two were arguing over their child, 2-year-old son Josey.
According to the spokesperson, the Deputy saw minor injuries consistent with Dorsey's statement, and Dorsey also showed police a video made during the alleged incident, which supported his account. He did not need medical attention.
Rivera was arrested and charged with domestic battery. After booking procedures, she was taken to Kanawha County Magistrate Court, where she was arraigned and a bond was set. She was then released from custody.
Rivera's arrest comes a month after she filed to dismiss her divorce from Dorsey. The 30-year-old actress filed for divorce in November 2016, after two years of marriage.
Rivera opened up about avoiding the "drama" and focusing on co-parenting in a recent interview with Momtastic.
"It’s always going to have its challenges logistically, but Josey is our priority,” she said. “We’re his parents.”
“If everybody looks at it that way, it alleviates some of the drama,” she added. “Doing what’s best for Josey is really what it all boils down to.”
