"The first time I saw Whitney it was at a club called Sweetwater's in Manhattan," said Clive, who was completely blown away by the then-teenager's rendition of Greatest Love of All. "I just remember, to this day, that my body was just tingling with excitement. I mean, she was beautiful - stunning. A teenager that was bringing meaning to the lyrics that who knows whether the composer really knew that meaning was in that song."
Greatest Love of All is featured on Whitney's greatest hits compilation, I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston, which will be made available at HSN on November 12. Other tracks include I Will Always Love You, I Wanna Dance with Somebody and I'm Every Woman. You can pre-order the album here.
Tune in tonight at 11 p.m. ET as HSN honors Whitney in an hour-long special, featuring interviews from Clive Davis, Brandy, Whitney's former manager and sister-in-law Patricia Houston, and Canadian musician David Foster.
