Gavin DeGraw in Stable Condition After Assault
Gavin DeGraw is currently recovering and is in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital where he was taken early Monday morning following a brutal assault.
He suffers from a concussion, broken nose, black eyes, cuts and bruises. Gavin and his family appreciate everyone's concern at the this time, the singer said in a statement.
A spokesperson for the NYPD confirmed to ET that the assault took place in New York City between 3:50 and 4:20 a.m. on Monday. Gavin was punched on the street by a group of assailants and later admitted himself into Bellevue Hospital Center where he is currently recovering.
This incident takes place in the middle of Gavin's tour with Train and Maroon 5. They are scheduled to perform Tuesday night in Saratoga Springs, NY but Gavin's publicist tells us that he won't be able to perform.
There is no information yet regarding his upcoming concert dates and promotion for his new album Sweeter, out September 20th.
