The 'Steve Jobs' star poked fun at Kutcher, who previously played the Apple founder in the 2013 biopic 'Jobs.'
When Ashton Kutcher took on the epic challenge of portraying Steve Jobs for the 2013 biopic Jobs, the enthusiastic actor studied every detail of the man whose life he was bringing to the big screen.
When Oscar-nominated star Michael Fassbender took on the role of the Apple founder, he apparently found a short-cut.

When fielding question at a press conference in New York, Fassbender was asked how he prepared for the role of the iconic tech innovator.
"I studied Ashton Kutcher," Fassbender joked, ribbing the former Two and a Half Men star for his highly publicized attempts at method acting to get into the role of Jobs two years ago.
It's wasn't an all-out insult, but the early ringing of award season buzz for Fassbender and the Danny Boyle-directed Steve Jobs can't feel good for Kutcher, whose own efforts to put the Apple founder's life on the big screen met with little critical acclaim.

It looks like we'll just have to wait and see how this potential rivalry develops. Maybe Kutcher could snag the role of Magneto in the X-Men films once Fassbender decides he's tired of superhero movies.
