The first teaser for the reboot of the franchise is here!
The teaser for the reboot of the Fantastic Four series is here! And the first official look at the film shows a very different (and darker) version of the original live adaptation that help made Chris Evans a star.
In the new series, Michael B. Jordan takes on the role of Johnny Storm (a.k.a Human Torch). He and his That Awkward Moment co-star, Miles Teller, who plays Mr. Fantastic, are bringing a new vibe to the franchise.
Rounding out the team are Kata Mara as Sue Storm (a.k.a. Invisible Woman) and Jamie Bell as The Thing.

While it’s not confirmed, the new film looks to take place in the same universe as the X-Men franchise. However, X-Men producer Simon Kinberg refuted that idea. What is clear is that the new film directed by Josh Trank is more grounded in reality -- a trend we’ve seen now in many recent comic book reboots.
As for the film’s official synopsis? It reads: “Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical forms in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.”
Fantastic Four debuts in 3-D on Aug. 7 2015.
