He's Back... Chucky's 'Curse' Serves Up Fresh Gore
Some of the biggest players in the horror genre came out to Universal Studios Hollywood recently for the annual Eyegore Awards, but the appearance on the red carpet of the lovably demonic doll Chucky managed to steal the show!
Chucky -- who's back in a new chapter of the 25-year-old Child's Play series called Curse of Chucky -- posed with stars on the red carpet for the Eyegores, which recognize the most creative contributors to horror films and television. The awards ceremony also kicks off Universal Studios Hollywood's annual Halloween Horror Nights, which this year includes maze attractions based on The Walking Dead, Insidious: Chapter 2, Evil Dead and the legendary rock group Black Sabbath.

Among those honored with an Eyegore Award was Jason Blum, producer of Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2, who confirmed that a third installment in the series is definitely in the works after the success of the first two, but said the story for the next film has not been determined.
The writer of the series, Leigh Whannell, confirmed he'll be back for Insidious 3, but also said he hasn't come up with a new theme yet. "I don't know yet, I just started thinking about that myself," he said when asked about the upcoming project. "I kind of think the story about the Lambert family from Insidious 1 and 2 is kind of done with. I think we've kicked that family in the head one too many times, so it's time to move on and terrorize a new family."
