Louis-Dreyfus on Gandolfini's Posthumous Role

At the premiere of the animated adventure film Planes, in which she voices a character, actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus talked about co-starring with the recently departed James Gandolfini in the upcoming film Enough Said.

"It was a dream working with Jim Gandolfini. He was a great friend of mine and we worked very closely together on our movie 'Enough Said,' which is coming out in September," Louis-Dreyfus said on Monday evening.

Enough Said, a comedy which also stars Catherine Keener, Toni Collette, and Ben Falcone, is one of Gandolfini's final two films. Louis-Dreyfus lauded his performance in the film, which is set for a September 20 release in the U.S.

"Of course, it's heartbreaking that he's no longer with us, but I'm proud of the film and I think people will be quite astonished to see his performance in it, which is very close to who he is," the Veep actress said.

On a lighter note, the 52-year-old actress also reacted to her current show, Veep's, five Emmy nominations, which include nods for Outstanding Comedy Series and a personal nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress.

"I'm really excited. The show got a lot of nominations this year, so it's a thrill," Louis-Dreyfus said.
