Orlando Takes Aim in 'Smaug' Teaser Trailer

The first teaser trailer for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug has been released upon the world, and it includes plenty of hot elf action featuring the return (or technically the "introduction") of Orlando Bloom's Legolas alongside Tauriel, the elf warrior played by Lost star Evangeline Lilly. We also get a great look at Smaug the Dragon, voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch.

Part two of the epic, three-part Hobbit saga follow's Martin Freeman's Bilbo Baggins, the wizard Gandalf (Sir Ian McKellen) and Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and his band of 13 dwarves as they journey to Lonely Mountain to battle Smaug and reclaim their untold treasures.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug opens December 13 (in High Frame Rate 3D, other 2D and 3D formats, and IMAX), while the final film in the trilogy, The Hobbit: There And Back Again, will open on December 17, 2014.
