In Safe Haven, Julianne plays a mysterious young woman who arrives in a small North Carolina town and displays reluctance in joining the tight-knit community. But slowly she begins putting down roots, and gains the courage to start a relationship with Josh's character, Alex, a widowed store owner with two young children. But soon her dark secrets start to catch up to her, and she is forced to rediscover the meaning of sacrifice and rely on the power of true love.
