Keira Knightley's wardrobe in Atonement became legendary in the world of cinema, and the actress told us at the Toronto International Film Festival that her next role as Anna Karenina features some costumes to rival that timeless green dress.

"She's absolutely extraordinary," Keira said, praising British costume designer Jacqueline Durran, who came up with the breathtaking creations worn in Anna Karenina as well as Pride & Prejudice and Atonement. "And I think the reason is she always grounds it in the character."
Tolstoy's classic novel gets a face lift in this more modern telling of the dramatic tale of decadence and betrayal.
"I don't think anybody's apologizing for it being a costume drama or being a period piece, because it is," Keira said. "But I think it's also so much more than that. This isn't like anything I've ever seen before."
Anna Karenina opens in limited release on November 16.
