The Million Dollar Listing New York star and his husband have welcomed twins, a boy named Fredrick and a girl named Milla. Eklund shared the wonderful news on Instagram on Tuesday.
"Happiest moment of my life. Welcome Fredrick and Milla to the world. ????," Eklund wrote alongside a sweet picture of the couple kissing and holding their newborns.
On Thanksgiving Day, the reality star shared a heartfelt message about becoming a parent, and thanked their surrogate for helping the couple expand their family.
"The last photo before the twins arrive in just a few days. So thankful... most of all to our surrogate, she’s become family through this. At night I put my hand on her stomach and feel Milla and Fredrick kicking & we can’t wait to finally welcome them home," Eklund wrote. "It’s hard to explain but Derek and I’ve both been so giggly all the time lately."
"It’s like entering another dimension this thing, if you’ve had kids perhaps you can relate? I think my heart is going to explode when I finally hold them. We’re so appreciative of all the well-wishes and love ❤️ Happy Thanksgiving from us! #nextchapter ?," he added.
The couple announced they were expecting twins in August. The Bravo stars had previously been open about their pregnancy journey. In 2015, Eklund revealed that a surrogate who was carrying twins had suffered a miscarriage.
Since then, there has been nothing but happy news about their growing family. Congrats!
