The veteran actor has died, ET confirms. He was 76. According to Jones' rep, he died at 2:17 a.m. on Wednesday, after a long illness.
Jones had worked in Hollywood for over three decades. In addition to his role as Pete Bilker on Home Improvement, he also starred as Rodney "Hot Rod" Dunham on FX's Justified, and appeared on shows like MASH, Entourage and Bones.
Jones also acted in movies such as Total Recall, Sling Blade and Tin Cup, and was an accomplished drummer. Throughout his life, he played with artists including Trini Lopez, Johnny Rivers and Kenny Rogers’ band, The New Edition. Jones published an autobiography, That Would Be Me, in 2009.
