The actor is currently working in London and couldn't be more thrilled for his former co-star.
While Meghan Markle may have a complicated relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, she has the full support of her onscreen dad from her days on Suits.
Earlier this week, Wendell Pierce tweeted that he had arrived in London for work and couldn't be more thrilled to be stationed across the pond so close to the birth of Meghan and Prince Harry's first child.
"It’s great to be living and working in London while the excitement builds around the Duchess of Sussex soon giving birth to her first child," the 55-year-old actor posted along with a scenic photo of London. "Meghan, I’m very happy for you. Blessings."
On Suits, Markle portrayed paralegal Rachel Zane for seven seasons while Pierce played her father, Robert Zane.
The Duchess of Sussex's former co-star has always had nice things to say about her. In an interview with Vulture in February 2018, he shared one of the last things he said to the 36-year-old royal when they were both on set.
"I was very happy that I was able to quietly, the last time we worked, say to her, 'Your life is gonna be so different,'" Pierce recalled. "...I said, 'I just want you to know that no matter how crazy it gets, you have a friend in me.'"
He added, "I care about her like a good TV father should."
