The 'Loot' star took a walk down memory lane during her Monday appearance on 'The Drew Barrymore Show.'
Maya Rudolph is reminiscing about her school days!
During her Monday appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the 51-year-old star and executive producer of Apple TV+'s Loot revealed that she attended high school with none other than fellow actor Jack Black.
When host Drew Barrymore, 49, asked the comedian if it was true they attended the same school, Rudolph replied, "Yeah, high school. He was two years older than me. He transferred in the 10th grade, and I was in 8th."
The Bridesmaids actress explained that her drama teacher paired them together and that Black was her improv coach.
She added, "He was my improv coach for an improv competition we did, and he got me into the improv class and he took me to my first Groundlings show -- Groundlings Theatre -- which is where I ended up."
Rudolph called Black the "most inspiring" person, saying, "First of all, you have to understand something about Jack. Jack has been the same person since the day I met him. The exact same person. He's just that guy, he's just special."
Both Black and Rudolph attended Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica, California. Black graduated in 1987, while Rudolph was Class of 1990.
In the years since, the actors have achieved great success in their respective careers. Currently, Rudolph is gearing up for the season 2 premiere of Loot, which returns to Apple TV+ on April 3.
While speaking to ET last month, Rudolph teased even more antics and a possible love connection between her character, Molly, and Arthur (Nat Faxon) in the second installment.
"I'm teasing that there is definitely a flirtation there and there's some connection and I think they're both looking," she said.
Rudolph also shared an update about possibly reviving her portrayal of Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday Night Live, saying it may be Harris' "time to shine."
The actress was an SNL cast member from 2000 to 2007. Looking back at her time on the NBC comedy sketch series, Rudolph told ET, "I feel like I didn't realize how young we were and I didn't realize how much we got to play together."
She added: "And that's the nicest thing about that network of people. There's so many wonderful people that I'm lucky to have in my life because of that show."
As for Black, he recently celebrated the release of Kung Fu Panda 4, which hit theaters on March 8.
When ET spoke to him at the movie's premiere, Black couldn't help but rave about the project, saying, "It has been the role of a lifetime. Playing Po the Dragon Warrior has been a blessing."
As for whether or not this will be the final time we see him as Po, Black said he tends to treat each movie as the last.
"You know, I always feel like every adventure is my last and that's -- I think that's my sweet spot for my frame of mind because then I put my whole self into it," he explained. "Always rock like there's no tomorrow."
