Matt Damon and Wife Luciana Make Rare Red Carpet Appearance With Their 4 Daughters

Matt Damon, his wife, Luciana Barroso, and their daughters were on hand for the world premiere of 'The Instigators' in New York City.

Matt Damon turned his Big Apple movie premiere into a family affair!

On Wednesday, the 53-year-old actor attended the debut of his Apple TV+ film, The Instigators, at the Lincoln Center in New York City. He donned a khaki suit, crisp white T-shirt and white kicks for the red carpet outing.

While the event celebrated his new action comedy, the spotlight belonged to the ladies in tow -- his wife, Luciana Barroso, and their four daughters. Luciana, 47, wowed in a HELSA white dress and black heels. The couple's daughters -- Isabella, 16, Stella, 13, and Gia, 14 -- were also dressed to the nines for their dad's big night. Damon is also stepfather to Barroso's daughter, Alexia, 24, whom he met when she was 4. Barroso, who met Damon when he was filming 2003's Stuck On You and married in December 2005, welcomed Alexia in a previous relationship.

Damon spoke to ET's Rachel Smith at the premiere, and he gushed over how time flies when you're a parent.

"I know, it happens so fast," he said when commenting about the young ladies by his side.

He added, "It happens kind of slowly and then really fast in a beautiful way."

In 2011, Damon opened up to Parade about being an extra dad to Alexia.

"I jumped into the deep end with Lucy. I mean, Alexia was already 4. I was an extra dad," he told the outlet. "The only way I can describe it -- it sounds stupid, but -- at the end of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, you know how his heart grows, like, five times its size? Everything is full; it's just full all the time."

It was a big night for Damon, who stars alongside Casey Affleck in the new action flick, which follows struggling father Rory (Damon) and ex-con Cobby (Affleck), who team up to steal from a corrupt politician. The job goes wrong, though, and as the duo is pursued by police, bureaucrats and crime bosses, they enlist the help of Rory's therapist (Hong Chau) to evade capture.

In addition to Damon and Affleck, the Doug Liman-directed film -- which was written by Chuck MacLean and Affleck -- also stars Michael Stuhlbarg, Paul Walter Hauser, Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina, and Toby Jones, with Jack Harlow and Ron Perlman.

NFL legend Rob Gronkowski also makes a cameo, and he was Affleck's first choice for the unnamed role.

"Devin Walsh, our producer called him up and, and got him here," Affleck previously told ET. "He really thought he was going to be in it more."

"He was only there for, you know, a certain amount of time," Affleck added. "Everybody loves [Gronk]."

The Instigators premieres in select theaters Aug. 2 and arrives on Apple TV+ on Aug. 9.
