Hampton's exit comes only two years after she was made a full-time Housewife.
Marlo Hampton bid adieu to the glitzy world of The Real Housewives of Atlanta as she confirms her departure from the Bravo franchise just ahead of season 16.
The fashion-forward reality star, known for her quick wit and memorable shade, revealed to People that her contract with the show concluded at the end of season 15. Hampton expressed her gratitude for the platform RHOA provided, allowing her to spotlight causes close to her heart, such as foster care awareness through her non-profit organization, Glam It Up, Inc., and showcase her fashion endeavors with Le'Archive.
However, Hampton sees her departure as a fresh start, emphasizing her desire to delve into new creative ventures and focus on her family, mainly her nephews, as they navigate crucial stages in their lives.
"My nephews are transitioning into pivotal stages of their academic adolescence, and I am focused on my representation in their eyes and getting back to showing my multifaceted lifestyle of philanthropy, fashion, and fabulosity," Hampton stated.
Having initially joined the franchise as a friend of former cast member NeNe Leakes in season 4, Hampton's journey led her to become a full-time Housewife in recent years, captivating fans with her unfiltered commentary and undeniable charisma.
The news of Hampton's exit follows the recent announcement of fellow cast member Kandi Burruss departing after 14 years and the return of Porsha Williams after a two-season absence.
As season 16 approaches, the future of other cast members, including Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora, Shereé Whitfield, and Sanya Richards-Ross, remains uncertain, leaving fans eagerly awaiting updates on the show's lineup.
