Madonna rang in her daughter's birthday with a sweet tribute.
Madonna and her family have a reason to celebrate!
On Monday, the GRAMMY-winning singer took to Instagram to ring in her daughter, Mercy James', 18th birthday. In honor of the occasion, the proud mom penned a beautiful tribute.
"Beautiful Chfifundo James! you’re 18 yrs old today!! Beautiful Mercy James. You’re already a young woman! Beautiful African Queen!! You Surprised all of us! ♥️🇲🇼♥️🇲🇼♥️🇲🇼♥️🇲🇼 You were always the quiet one The gentle one . The Shy and Stoic one. While All of my other children were clamoring for attention, you were Hiding under your hoodie — never wanting to draw attention to yourself. Always Humble and Kind Always the first one to say thank you. To clear the table after dinner! To Come and Hug me and say how much you appreciate something. And Always the most Responsable [sic]," the 65-year-old singer wrote.
Madonna's birthday tribute to Mercy continued with a celebration of her womanhood, with the proud mom calling her daughter "a true artist."
"Beautiful Mercy James I am really astounded by the woman you have become. Poised and radiant. Skilled and Soulful. A True artist," she wrote.
Mercy's birthday tribute was set to a video of her playing the piano as various pictures of her, her siblings, her mother and even Beyoncé were shown. The "Material Girl" singer went on to celebrate her daughter's many talents.
"That hand that was once frozen in your mouth as a child -now makes magic happen when you play the piano. Whether its Erik Satie or Chilly Gonzales," she wrote. "To hear you play Chopin every night in my show with such confidence is such a thrill. To see what you see through The lens of your camera. To watch how you care for your younger sisters. To see you unfold from A Chrysalis to a Butterfly. Beautiful Chifundo James Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to watch you grow. You really are A wonder."

Madonna's daughter put her talents on display onstage with her mother during a segment of the Celebration Tour. Mercy played the piano while her pop star mom sat next to her and sang.
Madonna is also the mother of Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23, David, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 11.
While she doesn't share many private moments with her children on Instagram, Madonna has taken to social media to celebrate their birthdays.
