Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song enjoyed some R&R during a romantic getaway to Mexico for her birthday.
Macaulay Culkin is making himself useful. The 43-year-old actor showed off his silly side during a recent getaway while celebrating fiancée Brenda Song's 36th birthday in Mexico, jokingly "masquerading" as a member of the resort staff during their stay.
Culkin embraced peak dad humor as he posed for a series of goofy pics, wearing a Nobu Los Cabos-branded polo shirt as he embraced the roles of "cabana boy," "bell hop" and more at the luxurious hotel.
"So the lady and I went to @nobuloscabos for her birthday. On our first day we went to the gift shop and I found this shirt," he captioned an Instagram carousel. "Since now I looked like the staff I decided to spend my four days there masquerading as a: Poolside waiter, Housekeeper, Cabana boy, Room service attendant, Bell hop."
He concluded by thanking the staff for "the fun time and excellent stay."
"And thanks for selling that shirt," he added. "It really made me feel like I belonged."
Song cheekily played along with the gag, posing happily as Culkin brought her a drink and a fresh towel by the pool. She put on a puzzled expression as he presented her with a celebratory bottle of wine in one shot, and made a silly face in a selfie while Culkin happily carried the couple's suitcases behind her.
The Disney alum also shared a handful of gorgeous snaps from the trip on her own page, writing, "Cabo adventures. Who is she?!" In another food-centric post, she wrote, "Had the most incredible [time] celebrating my birthday in paradise. Thank you @nobuloscabos for the most incredible, relaxing stay. I’m still full!"
The vacation pics come on the heels of a touching tribute Culkin posted in honor of Song's birthday last week. The actress turned 36 on March 27.
"Happy birthday to the best friend, mother, ally, colleague, lover, and partner I could ever wish for. You are my reason. I love you. P. S. The milk is due. Can you pick some up on your way home from work?" Culkin wrote.
To kick off the sweet tribute, Culkin shared a candid picture of Song sitting in a robe with a towel on her head, next to a bottle of champagne. Keeping things cheeky, the actor also posted a picture of a carton of milk -- that happened to expire on her birthday.
Culkin and Song have been in a relationship since 2018. Over the course of their romance, the pair has remained relatively private, aside from rare public outings. News that the couple had gotten engaged broke in January 2022, when Song was spotted with a ring on her finger. She later referred to Culkin as her fiancé, confirming the reports.
The couple shares son Dakota Song Culkin, whom they welcomed in April 2021, and a second son, whom they welcomed in December 2022.
ET spoke with the actor following his Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony in December -- where the duo made a public appearance with their two sons for the first time -- and he admitted that he's showed Home Alone to his eldest child last year.
"He thinks it's so funny," he revealed. "I convinced my oldest that he's the kid in the movie. I said, 'Remember you had yellow hair? Remember when you were getting the bad guys?' He's like, 'Yeah!' He is such a liar. I'm like, 'You don't remember any of that.'"
Both boys were present for their dad's big day, which Culkin told ET was "the whole reason to do this."
"It's the reason pretty much to do anything now," he marveled. "We always talk about how we don't remember our life before our kids -- it's a dream or a distant kind of concept, not a reality. I love the fact that my boys can come here and see a dog pee on my name."
