Marshall was a season 4 fan favorite of the hit Netflix dating show.
Love is blind? Nah. Love is patient. Just ask Marshall Glaze. The 28-year-old on Tuesday announced his engagement nearly one year after first appearing on Love of Blind.
Marshall shared that he actually popped the question on Dec. 23, and his future bride, Dr. Chay Barnes, said yes. Dressed in a Banana Republic suit and armed with a custom halo engagement ring from Sonu Company, Marshall said that he's ready to embark on his journey to "happily ever after."
Soon after announcing the news on Instagram with a series of engagement photos, the Love Is Blind family poured in with congratulatory messages, including from Marshall's good friend and fellow co-star, Brett Brown, who took the opportunity to also poke some fun at himself with a wedding day flashback.
"Marshall!! Man, couldn’t be happier for the two of you! CONGRATS!!!!! And beautiful pics!" Brett commented. "Just make sure on the wedding day you got a good tailor 😅. Congrats again brotha!!"
Fans will remember Brett had a serious fashion crisis on the day of his wedding. So much so, he rushed out of the wedding venue and headed straight to a tailor to help him finish getting ready for his big day with Tiffany Pennywell Brown.
In any event, fans will also remember Marshall quickly became a fan favorite during season 4 of the hit Netflix dating show. He met Jackie Bonds on the show, but the drama-filled relationship ultimately fizzled, culminating with Jackie dating fellow contestant Josh Demas.
Fast forward to the After the Altar special, Marshall and Chay were part of Brett and Tiffany's double date. Marshall gushed about her saying, "Chay is just, quite literally, the perfect woman for me. She's the yin to my yang, opposites attract. She's quite literally my opposite, and we mesh so well. That's what I love the most about her."
He admitted that he wasn't looking for love when they first met, noting that he was still "going through the emotions with breaking up with Jackie and at that time I wanted to just chill."
But it was clear to everyone that Marshall was in deep and just may have found the one. Turns out, fans were right.
"Then when she came along it was like I immediately felt like I needed to be with her," Marshall shared, adding, "She makes me feel secure in who I am as a man and she accepts me for me."
