Chelsea ultimately got engaged to Jimmy Presnell in the pods.
Love Is Blind season 6 cast member Chelsea Blackwell is cutting her ex, Trevor Sova, some slack. Following new allegations that Trevor was in a relationship while filming, Chelsea spoke out during an Instagram Story Q&A.
"Y'all we have to understand… we are humans," Chelsea wrote, posting a selfie with Trevor. "We have all made mistakes. Our lives went incredibly public very fast. All we can do is have grace. It's a very unfortunate situation. But I wouldn't wish this amount of hate on anyone. Remember to be kind."
Last week, the account @therealityashley posted screenshots of alleged text messages between Trevor and his supposed then-girlfriend, Natalia Marrero. The bodybuilder claims that she had just started dating Trevor when casting reached out to him to appear on the show.
She says he agreed to be on the show and stay in a relationship with her, and in the alleged text messages, a purported Trevor says he has no plans to get married on Love Is Blind.
The alleged texts also show a purported Trevor telling Natalia about meeting Chelsea in the pods and forming a connection with her. The supposed texts claim this was all a ruse.
Trevor has not publicly responded to the allegations.
ET has learned part of the casting process for Love Is Blind includes reaching out to and vetting possible participants. If anyone is engaged or in a relationship during the casting process and that is made aware to production, they would not be cast.
Trevor is not the first contestant from this season to be accused of being in a relationship prior to filming.
Contestant Jeramey Lutinski was called out for having been engaged and living with someone weeks before being cast on the show. Jeramey spoke out in the wake of the allegations, confirming that he had recently ended an engagement prior to filming, and adding that everyone he went on dates with knew that.
"I did not apply for this while I was living with anybody else. I was out living on my own and I didn't seek this out," Jeramey said in the video. "I was actually reached out to over Instagram."
He further pressed, "I'd already been on my own for a number of weeks at that point."
In addition to Jeramey, contestant Jimmy Presnell, Chelsea's other connection whom she got engaged to, also became the subject of TikTok dating rumors.
A video went viral of a girl named Ryann Stringfellow claiming to be dating a man who appeared on the Netflix show, whom she heavily implies is Jimmy.
Jimmy stitched the clip on TikTok, immediately denying the claims.
"Uh-uh, uh-uh, I don't know this woman, never met this woman, not true," he said. "It's an incredible marketing ploy. She is getting so many clicks and she's making so much money off my name, it's insane."
New episodes of Love Is Blind season 6 drop Wednesday, February 28 on Netflix.
