It’s time to meet the Robinson Family… again!
Lost in Space is crash landing on a screen near you next month, and only ET has your exclusive sneak peek at Netflix’s out-of-this world reboot.
Based on the 1965 series of the same name, Lost in Space takes place thirty years in the future and centers on the Robinsons, a family of pioneering space colonists whose spaceship veers off-course.
“Lost in Space is about a family named The Robinson’s and their journey to survive,” Maxwell Jenkins, who plays young Will Robinson, dishes in our behind-the-scenes video above. “It’s a family adventure, it includes space ships, it includes robots, it’s action packed!”
It’s the year 2046 in this modern reimagining of the classic 1960’s sci-fi series and the Robinson family and the spaceship Jupiter 2 encounters a rip in spacetime and crashes on an unknown planet. Stranded light years from their intended destination, the Robinsons and other colonists marooned with them battle a strange new alien environment and their own personal demons as they attempt to leave the planet.
“I think people who grew up with Lost in Space will really love to see what we’ve done with it,” Taylor Russell, who plays Judy Robinson, adds.
Press play on our first look featurette above to meet the Robinson's and discover why Lost in Space is an “emotional, fun rollercoaster” for the whole family.
Lost in Space lands in your Netflix queue on Friday, April 13.
