According to Lori Loughlin, there was no kissing going on with John Stamos on this Disneyland ride.
Lori Loughlin has given John Stamos some mercy because, according to her, he's been making up a story that they made out.
During an appearance on her Full House co-stars, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber's, podcast, How Rude, Tanneritos!, Loughlin addressed the story Stamos has previously told about them allegedly making out on a ride at Disneyland.
"He likes to tell some crazy story about we made out on the Matterhorn and I'm like, 'What?'" she said, implying that he lied. "But I think that's just for comedic value."
Back in 2017, she told Buzzfeed, "The real truth is is we're too old to remember."
The actress, who famously played Becky Donaldson opposite Stamos' Jesse Katsopolis for seven seasons of the hit ABC sitcom before reprising their roles on Fuller House, recalled the history of them meeting years before the show. She told Sweetin and Barber they met when Loughlin was around 17 and Stamos around 18 years old and stayed in touch, though they lived in different places. However, she did recall him inviting her to go with him to Disneyland while they were both in California.
While, according to Loughlin, the former soap opera actors eventually drifted apart, the two fatefully crossed paths again a couple years later thanks to their roles on Full House. In fact, they even had the same agent at the time. But was there ever romance? Loughlin, 59, said it might have been possible if they had lived on the same coast.
In a previous interview with ET, Stamos shared another memory that, according to him, she does not remember.
"I met her when we were both on the soaps before and I was nominated for an Emmy and she was the presenter and she didn't say my name and she doesn't remember it," he said, "but she's just turned out to be one of my best friends."
It's a sentiment he echoed in his 2023 memoir, If You Would Have Told Me.
"She's my Sandra Dee from Grease, the good girl with a kind heart who always makes me feel upbeat when I'm around her," the 60-year-old actor wrote. "She's one of the few women I have spent day after day with and still always look forward to seeing her again. I know what makes her laugh, we get each other and we have the sort of true friendship that's supposed to be the foundation of a great, lasting relationship."
