Country legend Loretta Lynn is “doing well” following an accident at home which caused her to fracture her hip.

The 85-year-old musical icon’s team posted an update on her Instagram following the recent fall.

“American music icon, Loretta Lynn is recovering from a fractured hip after a fall while at home,” the post reads. “She is doing well and thanks all her fans for their thoughts and prayers.”

The singer’s daughter, Patsy, told People that the injury occurred on New Year’s Day and may have been caused by her mom slipping while chasing her new puppy.

“At my mom’s age, it’s so dangerous when it comes to the hip, so we’re all just grateful she seems to be OK,” Patsy said. “She’s up putting weight on it and starting her rehab now.”

The setback comes just months after the singer suffered a stroke and Patsy added that she remains “aggravated” since she had been recovering well from the May 2017 health scare.

“She said she’s just mad about being back to laying up watching TV!” she shared. “Hopefully, she will recover quickly. She’s strong -- it’s amazing she’s able to go through all she’s been through. She had a stroke in May and has been having band rehearsals and getting around great by herself; she’s recording, she’s finishing up another album. That’s what she’s been focusing on. She’s nonstop but she’s always been that way -- it’s what keeps her going.”
