It's never too early to think about Christmas!

Legacies and The Vampire Diaries star Matthew Davis will be making his Hallmark Channel debut later this year, where he will star in a Christmas movie opposite Jill Wagner, ET has learned exclusively.

Davis will lead Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses, which is slated to premiere during Hallmark's premier programming event, Countdown to Christmas, this holiday season.

In the movie, single mom Abbey (Wagner) takes a leap of faith to pursue her passion for interior design. When she gets hired to decorate the estate of local businessman Nick (Davis), Abbey must complete the job by Christmas Eve. With the holidays fast approaching, Abbey must figure out how to break down the wall between her and Nick, as this could be the opportunity that jump-starts her career.

Wagner has starred in three previous holiday movies: 2016's Christmas Cookies, 2017's Maggie's Christmas Miracle and 2018's Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa.

Hallmark is starting early in lining up its original holiday movies this year, as it will mark the 10th anniversary of Countdown to Christmas. Hallmark has already banked its first Christmas film, The Christmas Song, starring Kristen Chenoweth and Scott Wolf. While 2018 saw a record-breaking 38 Christmas movies, it would be fair to assume that 2019 could produce an even bigger output for the network.

"I think that our challenge to our team is to find casts that we haven't worked with yet," Michelle Vicary, Executive VP of Programming and Network Publicity at Crown Media Family Networks, told ET in February, adding that it's important to "continue to deliver on the brand and do more of what we do and make people feel good and make them want to buy socks and mugs and decorate their towns like a Hallmark Christmas movie. Someone said it to me the other day that Hallmark is a movement for people that want to feel positive and so, we are here to be bigger and bolder in that way."
