CMA Fest hosted by Jelly Roll and Ashley McBryde airs June 25 on ABC.
Lainey Wilson can't stop gushing over Jelly Roll.
Chatting backstage with ET's Rachel Smith from CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee, earlier this month, the 32-year-old "Watermelon Moonshine" singer was all smiles talking about Jelly Roll, who made his first CMA Fest appearance last year and is this year's co-host.
"I'm his hype girl. Like, he's my brother," she told ET of Jelly Roll, 39. "Like, we share a very special bond and I'm just so thankful that he's a part of country music."
She added, "I feel like in my interviews, I feel like I talk about Jelly Roll more than I talk about myself. We need to just like, we need to talk about when my music's coming out, need to talk about when his is coming out."
In May, the "Son of a Sinner" country singer took to the stage of the 2024 ACM Awards to accept the trophy for Best Music Event along with Wilson for their song, "Save Me."
"Isn't he the cutest, sweetest thing ever?" Wilson gushed.
After the win, Jelly Roll popped backstage to discuss with ET his emotional acceptance speech.
"I was so emotional because it saved me," he shared at the time of their meaningful single. "'Save Me' was really the beginning of me finding my real voice and it was kind of me stepping out of my shell and being comfortable and just being open and vulnerable."
Now, Jelly Roll continues to rise in the country music scene. He told ET how excited he was to be co-hosting CMA Fest with Ashley McBryde.
"I'm excited to bring energy to the table," he said. "I think me and Ashley are gonna bring a lot of fun, a lot of funny, but also a lot of honesty, right. We're really friends and we're here with our peers and I think you're gonna see that and feel that in a way. You've never felt it when we're out there. I think you're gonna understand how tight the country music community is this year."
