The reality star has always maintained that she and Wade are just friends.
In the glamorous world of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards finds herself at the center of speculation regarding her close friendship with country singer Morgan Wade.
The reality star's bond with Morgan has become a prominent storyline on the show, raising eyebrows among the RHOBH cast and fueling rumors about the nature of their relationship.
Notably, Kyle has been spending more time with Morgan than her own husband, Mauricio Umansky, leading to whispers and questions about the true nature of their connection.
Addressing the rumors on Jeff Lewis Live, Kyle shed light on their friendship dynamics.
"She has a group of friends that I lean on. In the media, they only show Morgan. But she's part of a group of friends," Kyle explained. "There's just those friends that are the first text messages of the day, yeah, you know immediately, there's like tiers of friendship. You may love all of these friends, but there are different tiers. My first text messages of the day are four different people but, you know, if I'm walking down the street, having lunch with them, they're usually cut out of a photo unless it was yesterday where my friend, Jana, you know Jana, saying hi to me.”
Despite her clarifications, the media's focus on Kyle's relationship with Morgan persists, overshadowing the other friendships in her life. Kyle emphasized that Morgan is just one of her closest friends, and the narrative presented in the media doesn't capture the full picture.
"We were saying goodbye at the Glen Centre, and it looks like we're, the photo literally looks like we're kissing each other, which has happened to me before in the past, but I'm like, 'Of course they want to use that photo,'" Richards said.
"Usually they cut my friends out unless it's Morgan. It's so funny, you know, I was in Paris and my friend, Tina, that I've grown up with since I'm 10 years old, she's cut out of every photo because they don't know who Tina is, you know?"
As Kyle navigates a challenging season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her personal life is undergoing significant turmoil. During filming, she was not on speaking terms with her sister, Kathy Hilton, and was grieving the loss of her best friend, Lorene Shea. Additionally, Mauricio and Kyle announced they were separating in January.
"Yeah, so that's the narrative they want, so that's been the focus and, you know, I of course when you're going through a hard time, I lean on my closest friends, and I said that in the show in my interviews" Kyle told Jeff.
"I never went to therapy before. I am in therapy now, but my friends were my therapists always and I grew up with a family of all women and, you know, when I'm struggling, my friends are my, they're my therapists," she added. "They're my rock."
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
